Unrivaled Owners’ Quarters
Unlike many B&Bs where owner space is an afterthought, the 1825 Inn features a spacious, two-story private addition. This wing is seamlessly integrated yet offers total privacy, including:
2 Bedrooms and 1 bath upstairs

Downstairs, there are two private offices ideal for managing operations (or room for more family!) along with another 1/2 bath and extensive laundry and storage areas – even a dumbwaiter to the 2nd floor for laundry!
The chef’s kitchen also opens to a private dining room and living room. There’s even a private outdoor patio for private relaxing.

Why Current Owners Love Living in the Area
We love living in the Hershey area for many reasons. First and foremost, it offers a true small-town feel while still providing access to virtually every amenity you could want within a short drive. Local restaurant and shopkeepers know you by name, creating a warm, welcoming sense of community. There are numerous grocery stores nearby, and a wide variety of restaurants are just minutes away.
One of the things we appreciate most is the balance between peaceful countryside and convenient access to more vibrant areas. Within minutes, you can find yourself driving along scenic rural farmland or heading into Harrisburg or Lancaster for shopping and dining. Although Hershey is a popular tourist destination, the area remains manageable, and traffic is rarely an issue—even during peak seasons.
The region also offers plenty of recreational opportunities, including walking trails, golf courses, and river activities. Hershey Corp has three large entertainment venues that provide large-scale concerts and shows. There are local ice hockey and baseball leagues, as well as a variety of community theaters and playhouses that add to the area’s charm.
Ultimately, the primary reason we chose the Hershey/Palmyra area was the strength of the public school system. Our daughter was already in school when we purchased the B&B, so finding a property within a highly rated district was essential. Palmyra Area Schools rank in the top 10% of all Pennsylvania school districts, making it an excellent place for families.
